Stephen Jondrew and Stargate Pioneer host a weekly podcast dedicated for the Hobby Podcaster with tips and tricks on how to get started, sound great, have fun and not break the bank. Each week they talk about a podcasting topic in depth within an arc (like how to start a podcast, podcast gear for the hobby podcaster, and tips on different types of presenting-announcing-hosting) and then run down a current news item of importance to podcasting. They also run down any feedback and offer advice on how to make your hobby podcasting time better, easier and more fun.

Welcome to Better Podcasting! We talk about podcast tips, tools and best practices to help you succeed with your podcast! Just like you we podcast purely out of the love and the fun of it. Podcasting is our hobby and we love that it is yours too! We always encourage your questions and feedback and you can find all of our contact information at betterpodcasting.com.

We cap our microphone arc this week by discussing specialty microphones including shotgun microphones, lapel/lavalier microphones, and broadcast headsets. We'll give you demonstrations of a shotgun microphone and a broadcast headset; we'll also run down reasons you might want to use all of these.

In the Better Podcasting Download we'll update you on the podcast awards as well as some statistics information release by Blubrry and how it compares to other data released by other podcast statistics company. Finally, we'll take your feedback in our Better Podback section.
